Los Tarrales is located on the southern slope of Atitlán volcano. The reserve can be reached in 2-3 hours by car from Guatemala City or Antigua via the coastal highway CA2. From Panajachel it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Los Tarrales on the Ruta Nacional 11.
